Part of the annual deer management program activities is conducting an aerial deer survey and tracking deer-car collisions. The aerial survey is conducted by helicopter and gives the City a minimum population count. The count is used to make population management decisions. The deer-car collision information is compiled from police records and animal control carcass pickups.
