City Meetings

City Council Meetings
Regular City Council Meetings are held at 6:30 p.m. on the first and third Tuesdays after the first Monday of each month in the Council Chambers at City Hall. Informal City Council Worksessions are held at 6:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday after the first Monday of each month at City Hall. The public is also welcome to attend these informal meetings. If needed, Governance Meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday after the first Monday of each month. Items included on the Governance Meeting Agenda are intended to focus on broad policy issues. Public hearings, whether held by the Council or City Commissions, provide the opportunity for any resident to fully present his or her position on an issue.

The Council also provides an opportunity for public comment on items of public interest. The City Council welcomes the public to attend all Council meetings, worksessions and hearings. Citizens are encouraged to express their opinion during these meetings. Individuals wishing to appear at regular meetings of the City Council relative to items not included on an agenda or in the application process are welcome to address the Council under the section of the agenda entitled Citizen Comments; ten minutes are reserved for this portion of the agenda. No Council action should be expected at these meetings under the Citizen Comments, as the Council would want to thoroughly study all proposals or requests not of a routine nature. Council Meetings have a mandatory adjournment of 11:30 p.m.
