Youth Programs
The City of Burnsville offers a variety of opportunities for youth of all ages to stay active and healthy. Weather on the court or on the playground, youth can participate in activities that will keep them engaged all year long.

Register online or call the Recreation Department at 952-895-4500. Many of these programs fill quickly so register today!

Youth Recreation

Golf: Junior golf leagues and tournaments are available at Birnamwood Golf Course.

Halloween Fest: Treats, stories, face painting and costumed characters are a part of this family-friendly event held in October.
Kids of Summer: Kids of Summer (KOS) is a playground program involving games, sports, arts and crafts, water games, field trips, special events and an end-of-summer carnival. Programs are available for ages 4-12. Passes can be purchased for the summer, week or day.

Preschool Soccer: Footwork and fundamentals are taught through daily instructional drills and exercises. Multiple sessions and times are available. Ages 4-6.

Rockin' Readers: Join Independent School District 191's elementary principals as they read some great books before the summer Thursday Rockin' Lunch Hour concerts. Books are geared toward elementary and preschool children.

Skateboarding Camps and Clinics: A variety of classes are available for young skateboarders. These hands-on lessons are held at the Burnsville Skate Park.

Tennis: Lessons are available for kids interested in tennis. Lessons are offered in multiple sessions and times.
